FAQ: Connecting to Dash Social as an Influencer or Creator

  • Updated

What is Dash Social?

Dash Social is a social media management platform that equips brands with intelligence and speed to stay ahead of the curve. Through its sophisticated cross-channel insights and workflow tools, Dash Social enables brands to create content that entertains, engages and drives consistent business results.

Why should I connect to Dash Social?

Creators choose to connect with Dash for several reasons, with convenience being a top benefit.

Connecting to Dash allows brands to automatically access performance metrics for the content you create, especially Instagram Stories, which would otherwise be invisible to them. By securely linking your Instagram or TikTok account, you’ll:

  • Eliminate the need to send manual reports.
  • Build trust with brands by sharing verified metrics.
  • Potentially unlock future partnerships based on strong performance.

What do I need to connect?

You don’t need a Dash Social account to connect with a brand, but you will need the following:

For Instagram:

  • A Professional Instagram account (Creator or Business).
  • Your Instagram account is linked to a Facebook Business Page. Learn How
  • Two-factor authentication is enabled on your account. Learn How
  • Admin access to the Facebook Business Page. Learn How

⚠️ If you’re setting up a Facebook Business Page for the first time, you also need a Facebook Business Portfolio. This is required to fully verify your page and assign permissions.

Before proceeding, make sure:

  1. A Business Portfolio has been created in your Facebook Business Manager. Learn How
  2. The Business Portfolio owns both your Facebook Page and your Instagram account. Learn How
  3. Your personal Facebook profile is assigned Full Control permissions in the Portfolio. Learn How

For TikTok:

  • Any type of TikTok account.

Why did I receive two invitations to connect?

Because TikTok and Instagram are separate platforms, each requires its own authorization process. That means you’ll need to connect both accounts individually.

If you manage multiple brands through Dash Social, you may also receive unique requests from each brand. Each request authorizes that brand to access your analytics via Meta.

Is noreply@dashsocial.com legit?

Yes, noreply@dashsocial.com is a legitimate email address used for automated connection requests from your brand partners. Previously, such emails were sent from noreply@dashhudson.com. Both email addresses are officially used for communications. As a best practice, always verify the legitimacy of emails by checking the sender's details and content before responding or taking action.
